Rauschenberger Drives Home “Restoring Middle Class Illinois” Message with Second Mailing

It would have been a nice touch to have a local businessman, instead of one from a city from the Metro-East part of Illinois.

Inside, the “Ten Point Plan for ‘Restoring Middle Class Illinois’” is printed again. (See earlier post on the “jump page” for them.)

Quoted with photos below a family picture and letter from Rauschenberger are

James Baur, Supply Business Owner & Archdiocesan Respect Life Chairman, Rosemont
Steve Daniel, Veterinarian, Godfrey
Maryann Cundari, Retired School Teacher, Chicago
Rachel McCarthy, Homemaker, Libertyville
John Hazzard, Farmer, Wilmington and
Mary Lynn Tyler, Registered Nurse, Elwood.

One is from Lake County, two from Will County two from Cook County and one from Downstate.

Clearly most Republicans are middle class. Whether the “Ten Points” will resonate the way that Newt Ginchrich’s “Compact with America” did in 1994 remains to be seen.

I don’t see any promise not to raise income or sales taxes on the list.
