A CAMPAIGN UPDATE:

After three "Candidate Forums", a review of what the opposition has been saying, and simply meeting the voters during the recent petitioning efforts, the Arnold for Congress campaign is more convinced than ever that Ken Arnold has the background, issues, and initiatives to soundly win both in the Spring and - most importantly - Fall Election! He's the only candidate that can say that on the various substantive issues of this campaign.

Ken Arnold is the only Republican candidate that can directly appeal to the "Reagan Democrats" of old. Besides his strong stands on national defense, he being the only candidate with a proven and consistent track record for smaller government and lower taxes, and his defense of traditional family values -- Ken Arnold is the only candidate that would demand FAIR trade terms with foreign countries and defend both blue and white collar jobs against erosion and decline! By all of this, Ken cobbles together not only all Republicans who believe in not giving away our economy and the future of our jobs thru unfair trade terms -- but he's the only one that will peel off sizable chucks of Melissa Bean's former base of support. These union and blue collar voters were betrayed by Melissa Bean in her voting FOR the recent CAFTA trade provisions - like all of Ken's Republican Primary opponents would have done! Ken Arnold would have voted "NO!" on CAFTA and demanded that developing foreign countries not only honor our intellectual property rights (i.e. patents) -- but reasonably have at least 70% of the level of pollution and labor laws that we have in our country (i.e. core reasons our high paying manufacturing jobs are presently being given away by our politicians).

With all of the above, it has become apparent that the question is not whether the Ken Arnold for Congress campaign will resonate with voters -- the only question is whether he will be able to reach one more Primary Election voter with such message than his opponents. Because with each one he touches - he most times strongly wins them over. And, of course, with the General Election holding out ample campaign funds for whoever is the Republican Primary Election nominee, Ken Arnold will thereafter rob Melissa Bean of her base and thereby overwhelm her in the November election. We Republicans only need to choose our Champion during this Spring Primary - personal funds by everyone's account will not then be a factor given this is the number one targeted race in all the Nation. And that "Champion of our Republican Party" against Melissa Bean must be Ken Arnold!
