The endorsement by the Cuba Township Republicans is the fourth straight endorsement for McSweeney by Republican organizations. The first endorsement was made by McSweeney's home township of Barrington by a unanimous vote. Recently, McSweeney was endorsed unanimously by the Schaumburg Township Alliance of Republicans and the Township of Palatine, Principled, Energized Republicans. So far, McSweeney has secured three of four Cook County Township Republican organizations in the 8th District. Hanover Township has not made endorsements yet.

"Cuba Township Republicans have a historically strong voter turnout. Because this is Lake County, each of the Precinct Committeemen are elected to their position. The addition of this organizational support adds to the grassroots effectiveness of my campaign. I welcome their support of my Primary campaign and I look forward to working with them in the effort to unseat Melissa Bean," said David McSweeney.

David McSweeney resides in Barrington Township within the 8th Congressional District with his wife Margaret and their two daughters.
