Part V- IFT Questionnaire – Legislated Benefit Increases, Dental Hygienists

Up pops the “privatization” question again…just like in the Service Employees International questionnaire. But, maybe one could answer, “Yes,” and still support some privatization. Read the question carefully:
Would you oppose any privatization of state governmental and educational services?

Does “any” mean the same thing as “all?”

And, here’s a reprise of a SEIU question:
Would you support a bill that would ban any money provided through state contracts from being used on anti-union activities?

Do you think these union folks get together to discuss their legislative questions before they send them out?

I’m getting bleary eyed as I move onto page 6, blessedly, the last page.

On top is another “more members” question about whether private sector workers not covered under the federal labor relations acts should be allowed collective bargaining rights. Who’s being talked about?
· Racetrack employees
· Agricultural workers and
· Private university graduate employees

And, should dental hygienists be able to bill patients directly? That covers another constituent, dues paying group.

Finally, would you buck the dentists and vote to add a “Registered Dental Hygienist” to the Illinois State Board of Dentistry?
