Perhaps trying to counter the David McSweeney mailing with multiple photographs of McSweeney with former President Ronald Reagan, the letter on this post card begins with a quote from the master communcator.

"I'm not a politician," the quote starts, clearly a shot at long-time State Rep. Bob Churchill and probably Kathy Salvi (because of Al's career).

Bartels launches into issues after promising to visit every town in the district.

She hits these hot buttons: cutting taxes, simpifying the tax code, wasteful spending, Social Security & Medicare, increasing educational standards, keeping promises to veterans and seniors and "securing our borders from 'illegal immigrants.'" (Does one get the idea that this issue has matured since Jim Oberweis featured it in his U.S. Senatorial campaign?)
