Federal Candidate Questions
1. Do you agree with this statement: “The unborn child has a fundamental, individual right to life that cannot be infringed”? Are there any exceptions you will insist on as a condition in order to support the statement?
2. Will you vote to stop U.S. funds from going to international family-planning organizations that promote or provide abortions?
3. Will you vote for the “right of conscience,” which protects all healthcare institutions and individuals from being forced to participate in abortions or in dispensing RU-486, the morning-after pill or birth control pills?
4. Will you vote to prevent federal funds from going to school-based clinics that dispense birth-control pills or devices to students?
5. Will you vote to prevent the morning-after pill and RU-486 from being made available to minors?
6. Do you support a total ban on all research on embryonic stem cells?
7. Will you vote to reduce both control of and funding for education at the national level?
8. Do you oppose the establishment of national curricula, national testing and national education standards?
9. Will you fight to guarantee the right of parents to decide how to educate their children in public, private or homeschooling? (Please include your positions on tax credits, vouchers, charter schools, public schools and our current system.)
