McSweeney McHenry County Road/Endorsement Mailing – Inside Left on Road Improvements for Wonder Lake (Click to Enlarge)
McSweeney targets road improvements for Routes 14, 31 and 47. The mailing says, "As our next Congressment, David McSweeney will be an active leader in working to ensure the successful completion of projects in our communities and finding the best solutions that improve our everyday lives."
During my last two terms in the Illinos General Assembly, I was the Republican Spokesman on the House Appropriations Committee that handled the Department of Transportation budget. I know how hard it was to direct road money to McHenry County. Now, with the strong possibility that McSweeney would be serving with a Democratic Party governor (Yes, advantage Blagojevich at this point), I think McSweeney will find it harder than this mailing suggests to have a significant impact on the road building process.
