H.R. 563 is a Congressional pardon of Border Patrol Agents Ramos and Compean. So far this Bill has 102 cosponsors. Representative Melissa Bean isn’t one of them. The Chicago Minuteman Project has attempted to discuss this issue with the Representative or with one of her Assistants. Phone calls have not been returned. It seems that Congresswoman Bean isn’t interested in what we have to say.

We have a lot of new members who may need to be brought up to speed on the outrageous injustice done to Border Patrol Agents Ramos and Compean. The prosecution of these Border Patrol Agents was the Bush Administration’s message to the Border Patrol not to secure the border in order to allow a continuing flow of illegal aliens and narcotics. If Border Patrol agents can be put in prison on trumped up charges, it can happen to anyone.

* An end to the sell-out of America to globalist interests that has resulted in our economic enslavement and eroded our sovereignty.

SECTION 3. No agent or agency shall request information about or otherwise investigate or assist in the investigation of the citizenship or residency status of any person unless such inquiry or investigation is required by statute, ordinance, federal regulation or court decision.

Minuteman Comment: Richard M. Daley has ordered the Chicago Police Department never to ask any person arrested for a crime about their citizenship or residency status. The Mayor has ordered the Police Department never to call Immigration and Customs Enforcement about the status of a criminal arrested. In other words, Mayor Daley is aiding and abetting illegal alien criminals in the City of Chicago and he has handcuffed his own Police Officers from doing their job. The Mayor of Chicago doesn’t care how many times a drug dealer is arrested for drugs or how many times a gang member is arrested for assault. For Richard M. Daley, political correctness and electoral game-playing are far more important than the public safety. The City of Chicago needs to rescind the Sanctuary City policy and institute a 287(g) program so that children can play and go to school without fear.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that it shall be the policy of the Cook County Sheriff’s Office not to assist in the investigation of the citizenship or immigrant status of any person unless such inquiry or investigation is (a) integrally related to an investigation by the Cook County Sheriff’s Office regarding a matter other than the individual’s citizenship or immigrant status, such as criminal smuggling and harboring of immigrants, or other crimes that have as an element of the crime the illegality of a person’s presence, or (b) as otherwise required by law. The Cook County Sheriff’s Office shall not make inquiries into immigration status for the sole purpose of determining whether an individual has violated the civil immigration laws; and

Minuteman Comment: In other words, the Cook County Sheriff is prohibited from making inquiries about a criminals immigration status in cases of murder, rape, drug dealing, sex crimes against children.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Cook County Bureau of Health Services (“CCBH”) shall not condition the provision of health benefits, opportunities, or services on matters related to citizenship or immigrant status, but may, in the course of determining eligibility for benefits or seeking reimbursement from state, federal, or other third party payers, inquire about immigrant status for the sole purpose of such a determination or receipt of reimbursement from said sources and, to such extent as the disclosure of such information is related to such a determination or receipt of reimbursement, the provisions of this Resolution and any subsequent ordinance do not apply to the CCBH; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that except when otherwise required by law, where presentation of an Illinois driver’s license or identification card is accepted as adequate evidence of identity, presentation of a photo identity document issued by the person’s nation of origin, such as a driver’s license, passport, or matricula consular (consulate-issued document) shall be accepted and shall not subject the person to a higher level of scrutiny or different treatment than if the person had provided an Illinois driver’s license or identification card except that this provision does not apply to the completion of the federally mandated I-9 forms provided, however, that a request for translation of such document to English shall not be deemed a violation of any provision of this Resolution and any subsequent ordinance; and

Minuteman Comment: Is there any wonder why the County is in a budget crises when the taxpayers are forced to pay for health care for everyone and anyone in the world who walks in the door of County Hospital? Is there any wonder why our property taxes are skyrocketing?

Minuteman Comment: Liz Gorman is an ally but was absent on the day of the vote… Maldonado took advantage and brought the Resolution up for a vote. Goslin is recorded as a “yes” vote but this was a maneuver to allow him to call for a revote so that the Resolution could be voted down. Goslin is an ally.

Forest Claypool still wants to be elected Board President and Larry Suffredin is running for Cook County States Attorney. Both are traitors.
